  • Natural Gas is the cleanest fossil fuel, and together with Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) is widely recognized as the critical bridging fuel to provide reliable, lower carbon baseload Power through the Energy Transition as the industry substitutes away from Oil and Coal and scales up other lower carbon and renewable energy sources.

Driven principally by Asia, worldwide LNG demand growth is forecast to reach ~700mtpa by 2035 (a 100% increase from 2020), with a ~150-200mtpa supply gap predicted 2035-2050 unless significant new LNG export and import capacity is built worldwide.

2021 was a watershed year for ESG across the LNG industry, with industry leaders advancing Carbon-Neutral LNG cargos, the development of GHG and Methane reduction initiatives, and integrated Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) facilities introduced into both new and operational LNG plants.

AEP is recognized as the Gas & LNG industry’s pre-eminent Human Capital Talent Consultancy and strategic organizational development partner having supported over 30 LNG projects worldwide, successfully placed Executives and Professionals into every position within an LNG corporate and project organization from CEO and C-Suite to Engineers, Operators and Analysts, built out over 50 high calibre Gas & LNG teams, and acted as strategic talent partner for the two largest LNG Export projects built globally in the last five years. AEP has extensive experience across the end-to-end Gas & LNG value chain, across the full project and business life-cycle supporting organizations from early stages through to commercial operations and beyond over many years. AEP has played an integral role supporting many of todays Gas & LNG industry leaders and those that have led the unlocking of North America’s vast LNG potential.

  • Hydrogen is the earth’s most abundant element and provides the opportunity to produce energy with close to zero GHG emissions and with water as the only waste product. Hydrogen Energy can be generated from numerous sources, principally natural gas (Blue and Grey Hydrogen), nuclear power (Pink Hydrogen) and renewables (Green Hydrogen) and can be used to power transportation and generate electricity for both industrial and residential use.

With Hydrogen Energy having the potential to abate ~20% of the world’s GHG emissions by 2050 and accelerate the decarbonization of the world’s energy economy, harnessing and scaling up the Hydrogen Energy industry is central to the Energy Transition and critical to achieving Net Zero.

Hydrogen Energy can be stored, transported in large quantities regionally by pipeline and between continents by ship similar to LNG and allows companies to unlock stranded gas and renewable energy in remote locations, providing the potential for large-scale, reliable, affordable and almost zero carbon energy.

To realize Hydrogen Energy’s potential requires as estimated USD$500-800billion of targeted investment, appropriate regulatory policy and deep industry collaboration, innovation and creativity, leading to the development of new technologies, new and retrofitted Hydrogen Energy production and transportation infrastructure and large-scale market adoption across Asia, North America, and Europe, forecast to account for ~70% of the future Hydrogen Energy market in 2050.

The potential of the Hydrogen Energy market offers vast opportunities for forward-thinking investors and developers. AEP is committed to supporting those trailblazers at the forefront of unlocking this once-in-a-generation opportunity the Hydrogen economy provides.

With a globally Talent short market, and organizations requiring both exceptional leadership and a complex mix of complimentary skill sets and experience when building out Hydrogen Energy organizations and projects, AEP is perfectly positioned to guide Investors and Developers as they embark of their Hydrogen Energy journey and provide long-term support to bring such visions to life.

  • Driven by significant global population growth, dramatic increases in living standards, and the electrification of global energy systems, demand for Power is forecast to increase worldwide by over 200% by 2050. Fuelled by the Mobility Revolution and rapid global adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs), transportation is viewed as the fastest sector to transition to electricity.

AEP supports Investors, Developers, Operators and Portfolio Players across the Power & Electrification value chain attract and retain high calibre talent and build out robust and sustainable organizations and cultures - from industry leaders who deliver Power to millions ever day, to game changing disrupters building out tomorrows cutting edge technologies, Electric Vehicles and EV infrastructure networks and Energy Storage solutions that will underpin the Energy Transition.

  • Renewable energy will play an increasingly important role in meeting the world’s growing energy needs, expected to account for 50% of the global Power mix by 2030 and 85% by 2050. Aided by climate commitments and regulation, significant capital inflows, and their increasing cost competitiveness versus fossil fuels, Solar and Wind Energy are predicted to be the fastest growing energy sources over the next 25 years.

AEP supports Investors, Developers and Operators across the Wind, Solar, Geo-Thermal, Tidal and Sustainable Biofuels (Algae) industries and organizations developing Clean Energy technologies, infrastructure and energy storage solutions.

As demand for Executive and Professional Renewables Talent rapidly increases, leveraging unrivalled Talent access, AEP provides Clients with a competitive edge in their pursuit of attracting and retaining the industry’s best Talent.

  • In addition to Hydrogen and Renewables, other Low Carbon Solutions are required to achieving Net Zero targets. Today, focus is principally centred on opportunities to develop Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS) solutions, with numerous other low carbon technologies in development.

Hundreds of large-scale CCS and CCUS projects have been announced in recent years across the globe and dozens of new businesses launched, with strong capital flows evident from environmentally conscious investors eager to support the development and commercialization of next-generation low carbon solutions.
